A new political party is emerging in our state. The “No Party” Party of Pennsylvania is being founded on the principles of George Washington, who, as he helped shape the foundations of our country, cautioned against the wide-ranging effects of power within political parties:
“I have already intimated to you the danger of parties in the state, with particular reference to the founding of them on geographical discriminations. Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party, generally… The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries, which result, gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of Public Liberty.”
– George Washington
The “No Party” Party of Pennsylvania is joining all democratic-minded citizens and groups in the struggle to assert the freedom to participate in the electoral process and to overcome, at every level, the bariers to complete ballot freedom. In order for the “No Party” Party of Pennsylvania to become a majority party in the state, we need more voters in PA need to be registered as “No Party” Party. This would mean that the “No Party” Party candidates would be able to participate in primary elections, just as the Democrat and Republican candidates are able to do.
Voter resistration forms can be found at any local post office. To be sure that you do not register as a “No affiliation” voter, place an “X” in the box marked “Other (Please Specify)” and write exactly “No Party” Party on the line. An example of proper NPPP registration is listed below:
